Customers appreciate the high quality and well-balanced spiciness levels, though many caution that the heat can be intense for those unaccustomed to spicy food. Portions are generally considered generous, though some note that certain meat servings could be slightly larger. The availability of vegan options and consistently well-prepared dishes contribute to the strong local reputation of Thai Eatery as a top choice for Thai food in the area.
Our first time here. Ordered green curry with chicken and pineapple curry with beef, and 4 out of 5 spiciness. Curry came with rice. The flavor was excellent, better than most from comparable Thai food we tried in many places in the US. The veggies and meat were cooked properly. The beef portion could be a bit more. 5 stars for food taste and quality. Spicy level 4 was fine but could be intolerable for average person. 5 stars for service, being fast and no fuss. The place was about half full when we arrived for a late lunch. Parking was sufficient. Atmosphere 3 stars but that’s about the same for comparable restaurants. We came for the food anyway. Place was clean including the restroom. Price was reasonable. We plan to come back whenever we find ourselves within the vicinity.
Good place, especially staff, super friendly, smiley and nice. If you not used to spicy food be careful, they give you 1 to 5 intensity of spiciness, I like it spicy, but 2 was almost too spicy, so if you are not Indian or Jamaican, take it easy, cause 5 will make it hurt. Food is good. Lots of noodles, less seafood, but for the price it is awesome
Crab Rangoon is the best in Erie Pa. Can't get enough of it. We have tried them all over. No one can compare to this. Food is also delicious.
Thai Eatery serves the best Thai food in Erie, no contest. You can't go wrong with their Pad Thai or Drunken Mama, and they make excellent vegan versions with flavorful tofu. Highly recommend!
Super good food.. best red-haired waitress ever.. Super bubbly personality and has worked there everytime I go.. pay her more. The bench and chair on the wall side are a little different heights..its my favorite feature.. and the food..omg sooooo good. I get mine thai hot and they make it perfect
I stopped by Thai Eatery while traveling through Erie, and it was an excellent find. As a Thai food fan who makes it a point to try Thai restaurants wherever I go, I was really impressed. I ordered the Green Curry, Pad Thai, and Tom Yum Seafood Soup for takeout. Considering the location and size of the city, the quality here was exceptionally good. The owner was caring and attentive, and they let you customize the spice level properly — a small but important detail. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone craving great Thai food in Erie!
A wonderful little Thai restaurant. The service is great and very attentive. The food portions are very generous. I had the Drunken Mama with chicken which was well prepared and delicious. I also enjoyed the Tom Yum soup which was awesome. Watch your spice level requests. I had a level 2 out 5 spice level and it was definitely on the spicier side, more like a 3 or 4 compared to other Thai places I have visited. Other than that it was a great experience and would highly recommend a visit.
I had the pleasure of dining at Thai Eatery on Peach Street in Erie with two friends, and I can’t recommend it enough! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion. The menu offers a wonderful variety of traditional Thai dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. One friend got the Pad Thai, which was absolutely delicious – the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and spicy. I had the Drunken Mama, which was a fantastic choice! The bold flavors and the perfect amount of spice made it a standout dish. I think I had the level 2. The best part? It’s BYOB, so we brought along our favorite bottle of wine. We all loved our food selections – everyone was thoroughly impressed. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or a newcomer, this place is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their mouthwatering dishes!
